Objective

Conceptualize a talk series that gathers leading minds from distinct disciplines to discuss the ethics, opportunities, and challenges in biotech innovation and investment.

Develop a name for a talk series initiated by Leaps by Bayer and create a logo that is linked and aligned to the Leaps by Bayer logo.

Methodology

This brief was approached with intensive exploration into the world of conferences, talks and further “gathering” formats that not only take place in the science segment but also beyond in the field of sport, design, fashion, digital marketing, and so on.

Output

The final name suggestion – and winner – was: “Talks” – phonetically the best match with Leaps and also had the advantage of having 5 letter – the same as Leaps – giving the impulse for the winner logo.

A compact, somewhat vertical logo was important to ensure a good format when collaborating with festivals for placing their logo beside the Leaps Talk logo with the familiar X, denoting a collaboration.
